Do you find yourself wondering what went wrong? Why things just seem to be out of control? Do you want to accomplish something but do not know how to get there?
As your therapist I would work with you in creating and implementing a treatment plan with goals that are in line with what you want to accomplish. I feel that the more involved you are in the treatment planning, the more invested you will be in working towards a positive outcome. Whether it is with youths and adolescents or adults, I tend to use an eclectic model of short term therapy. I utilize cognitive behavioral techniques, while adding in other therapy styles as needed. I tend to focus on the issue at hand. We will identify solvable issues, set goals, design interventions to achieve those goals, and examine the outcome of the therapy.
